
Pakistan’s newly appointed international (ODI) captain Shaheen Afridi and star batsman Babar Azam have fallen in the latest ICC rankings for the 50-over format, while several other national players have made notable progress.
In the batting rankings, Babar Azam fell one place to fifth, earning 728 rating points. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan and opener Fakhar Zaman have both earned a place, now sitting at 23rd and 26th respectively.
Middle-order batsman Salman Ali Agha jumped nine places to 30th with 569 points after his pivotal performance against South Africa in the series opener.
Left-handed opener Imamul Haq fell one point to 42nd place, while young player Saim Ayoub maintained his position in 53rd place with 509 points.
Indian Rohit Sharma retained his position as the best player in the ODI match, while Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran retained second place.
New Zealander Darryl Mitchell moved up two places to third place, while Indian Shubman Gill fell to fourth place.
In the bowling table, Pakistani Shaheen Afridi fell one place to 15th place with 587 points, while his colleague Naseem Shah rose 10 places to 33rd place with 524 points.
Spinner Abrar Ahmed also rose to 37th place, and player Muhammad Nawaz rose three places to 69th place with 436 points.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to dominate the ODI bowling rankings, followed by South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj at second place.
England’s Jofra Archer advanced to third place, ahead of Sri Lanka’s Mahesh Thekshana, who fell to fourth place.
